Regulating tomorrow’s technologies
In collaboration with UC San Diego Alumni and Graduate Division, and in celebration of our 30th Anniversary, we have launched a monthly webinar series titled "Designing Policy for a Global Impact." The series will explore the research findings of GPS faculty, alumni and students as they strive to create informed policy choices across the globe.
Join us on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 4 p.m. (PDT). Our next webinar, taken from the research theme of Innovation & Technology, a group of experts will discuss key policy issues around advancements in 3D printing and Artificial Intelligence as well as impacts of the FDA’s approach to medical device regulation.
Speakers:
Elizabeth Lyons, GPS Professor (moderator)
Robert Friedman, GPS Professor of Practice
Karcher Morris, Jacobs School of Engineering Ph.D. student and GPS Science Policy Fellow
Each webinar will take a closer look at a topic currently under discussion in the public domain. The webinar format allows us to reach across the continents and engage an audience far beyond the shores of San Diego – and perfect for alumni interested in staying up to date on the latest research coming out of GPS.
