Esta segunda edición es la continuidad del taller celebrado en el CICESE, el pasado mes de octubre en la ciudad de Ensenada en Baja California, en aquella ocasión el propósito del taller fue la  integración  de la ciencia trasfronteriza y las aplicaciones de investigación y educación en la ingeniería, que se encuentran habilitadas en CENIC la Red de Educación e Investigación en California, en colaboración con la Red Nacional de Investigación y Educación operada por CUDI en México.

El objetivo del taller en esta ocasión es promover, documentar y fomentar  la colaboración en investigación entre México y California.
